Theodore (Teddy) Feinberg has established himself as an up-and-coming sports editor at the Las Cruces Sun-News (NM). In this position, he has developed a number of skills, headlined by his ability to manage a writing staff and become an integral part of the managerial team.

The “Sports Section” of the Sun-News displays a strong local presence on both the college level and high school circuits. While New Mexico State University is a primary focus, seven high schools -- led by three main city schools – Mayfield, Las Cruces High and Onate -- also garner much attention.

In addition to publishing a daily paper, the Sun-News has been honored as one of the top online newspapers in the state of New Mexico. As part of the team, Teddy recognized the importance of online journalism and currently oversees the sports department’s online edition. In addition to uploading daily updates, creating special sections and ordering stories for the Sun-News online, Teddy spearheaded the creation of three sports blogs – his own and those of his two writers. His own “Pieces of a Man” blog predominantly covers New Mexico State University athletics.

Teddy began his career at the Roswell Daily Record in Roswell, N.M., where he covered local sports throughout southeastern New Mexico. He is a graduate of Central Washington University (Ellensburg, WA), where he received a degree in communications with a special focus on print journalism in 2006.
